Writer's Block: Fearsome

The boogeyman, global thermonuclear war, being forced to eat broccoli—there's a lot to be afraid of when you're a kid. What was your biggest childhood fear?

I was afraid of fire. When I was a child it was more common for people to lose their homes or businesses to fires and I was fanatically worried about our home. I would have bad dreams about it. I'm not so bad now except for having to check the stove a dozen times before I leave the house.

Which of the seven deadly sins—sloth, greed, lust, gluttony, anger, envy, and pride—are you most likely to commit?

Either gluttony or anger. I love food much more than I should but my anger is what's gotten me into trouble all my life.:)

Well, it was a fun day...

It's always a thrill when it's time to clean the turtle aquarium...yep, can't think of anything else I'd rather do. And if you believe that you'll believe anything and there's no hope for you.

Actually I'm kind of worried about the turtles. For two years they happily swam and slept on their floating chunk of wood. Now the past few weeks they spend all day bumping on the glass and trying to get out. I must be doing something wrong...I'm trying to look up turtle care but there's so much crap clogging up the internet now that it takes forever to find a bit of real information.

Let's see, what else is going on in my oh so exciting life. An older man I've known all my life...I think he made a pass at me today and it was beyond CREEPY. It's not that I have anything against older guys but I do against married ones and I've known this guy and his wife forever and the whole situation is just weird and I wish he'd disappear because...ewwwww.

Hmmmmm...my friends are dropping like flies from either a virus (the vomiting kind) or this killer cold thing that leaves its victims with a horrible sinus infection and expensive trips to the doctor. I walked around smelling like hand sanitizer all day and tried not to let anybody breathe on me. One of the other ladies at work went crazy with the Lysol but if we survive all that we probably inhaled then we probably won't have to worry about an overabundance of germs for a couple of days.

Isn't my life so exciting. Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the Black Widow that's been calling my husband about a "job". More information about that later.
